Operations of the Centre

The Centre is involved in the branding the University students, alumni and staff. The Centre recently organized a programme for all 2016/2017 graduating students of the University in February, 2018 titled “Branding FUNAAB graduates for employability and marketability (see picture).

The Centre encourages, coordinates, supervises and supports student entrepreneurial activities and clubs. A number of student entrepreneurial clubs organize programmes within the CENTS building with some of CENTS staff invited to give lectures or keynote addresses. Notably is the ENACTUS Group that has won a number of prizes in different national competitions.

The Centre develops and or shortlists highly rated skill leaders as resource persons, internally or outside the University who are involved in the training of our candidates and provide internship for our trainees to ensure adequate practical and realistic exposures. The Centre have an agenda to organize entrepreneurial seminars, exhibitions, lectures and symposiums that will help the University to attract successful industrialists, entrepreneurs and philanthropists with a view of developing entrepreneurial spirit and culture within the University and its environs, and generate funds/ attract philanthropic projects for the University.

The Centre is in collaboration with COLMAS in training 200L and 300L in practical entrepreneurial trainings. So far, an average number of students not less than two thousand (2,000) have been trained per year since the inception of CENTS in 2011.

The Centre also organizes vacation training programme for students and the general public on different skills and vocation during every vacation. Sometimes, the trainees are provided with accommodation during the vacation training.

The Centre also accommodates entrepreneurial based organization for tours and excursions in the University to showcase the various entrepreneurial based activities and facilities within the University.
